Ansar NC was founded in 2025 by a group of students of knowledge who were deeply moved by what they learned about zakat: its purpose, its beauty, and its power to transform lives.
What began as study and reflection quickly turned into action. Today we connect givers and recipients across North Carolina, ensuring every act of giving fulfills its true purpose.

We use a payment processor with zero fees, so every dollar of your donation reaches the fund or need you choose. Nothing is skimmed off for processing.

Every request is reviewed privately and with dignity. We follow through with recipients, stay present through the process, and connect people to community resources when that is what they need most.

Ansar NC facilitates the distribution of zakat. We help givers fulfill their obligation and help eligible recipients receive support, acting as a bridge so zakat reaches those who qualify under scholarly guidance.

Zakat is one of the Five Pillars of Islam: obligatory giving that purifies wealth and strengthens community. Eligible Muslims give 2.5% of accumulated savings each year to those in need.
